The Suzuki 6 HP outboard motor model DF6AL5, with the 20 inch long shaft and increased performance over the 4 HP from the large carburetor, offers the largest displacement of any one-cylinder outboard in this hp and weighs 54 lbs. With the added versatility of the tiller steering, this model is an excellent choice for long-shaft jon boats and skiffs, as well auxiliary power for sailboats and "kickers" for larger fishing boats. The standard external fuel tank connection allows the user to easily connect an optional external fuel tank for longer range and a 3-star ultra-low emission rating (purchased separately).

We have studied the actions of the other major outboard manufacturers and now believe that Model Year Elimination will offer a host of benefits to our Customers, Dealers and Boat Builders. Suzuki Marine can now introduce new outboard models to the market during the boating season, instead of waiting until the model year change. Consumers will be able to purchase these models sooner than in the past. Dealers and Boat Builders will carry a better supply of outboards because they will not have to reduce inventory in advance of a Model Year Change.
